WFNX Challenge -- The Gift That Keeps on Giving

With the much-appreciated help of at least some of you, Mayor Curtatone defeated Mayor Dolan of Melrose in last week's My Song is Better than Your Song competition on WFNX 101.7 FM radio.  And since no good deed goes unpunished, he's been summoned back to Lynn do it again tomorrow morning -- this time going up against Mayor Rizzo of Revere.

Once again, your timely assistance is sought in our quest for another victory.  (And you don't need to be a 'Villen to lend a helping hand.) 

So please, tune into WFNX at 9 a.m. tomorrow, Thurs., February 2, to savor the tasty tune tagged by our Mayor and disdain the dubious ditty designated by their Mayor and then VOTE for Mayor Curtatone’s choice by 9:30 a.m. (Be sure to wait until voting opens after both songs are played!)

Somerville Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone bested Mayor Dan Rizzo of Revere this morning in the weekly WFNX "My Song is Better Than Your Song" competition.

Curtatone's selection, "Steady as She Goes," from the 2006 album by The Raconteurs, took top honors.

Rizzo, who chose "Rockaway Beach" by The Ramones, wasn't even close.

"We stopped counting when Somerville had 160, and Revere had maybe 20," said WFNX's Henry Santoro."Somerville took 'em to the woodshed."
