is the platform bed intact or in pieces? my husband and I are actually on a mission for a full-size bed and frame this weekend! just trying to figure out if we can somehow affix it to our car.

the platform sits separately from the base with drawers, the drawers are removable. I was able to transport the whole thing on top of my car, with the drawers in the car.
