I noticed walking home from Porter Square yesterday that Roach's is going out of business. Most everything in the store is 30% off. Not sure when their last day will be, but I'm pretty bummed out.

I don't know that they had a problem keeping things going per se, but the new property owner apparently wants to do something else with the space so out they go.

yeah, what I heard is that that the new owner wants to double their rent, and that wasn't realistic for them. I suppose there will be some high end, hipster something going in instead...

It tells you what a great marketing strategy they had that I had to read the comments to even figure out where this place was.

It does stink that they're being forced out due to a contractual issue, though. That seems to be happening a lot lately.
