Can anyone recommend a good bike shop that sells a decent selection of folding bikes?  I live off Elm Street, across from the Porter Square Shopping Center.

Thanks,
~Nikki~

Harris Cyclery, out in Newton, carries several brands. Not close to Porter, but if you have a non-folding bike it's a fairly pleasant, if sometimes traffic-y, ride away. And they are friendly and helpful.

Seconding the Harris recommendation, with the caveat that riding out that way takes you near the Newton/Watertown Circle of Death - plan your route to avoid that.

It's the not-really-a-rotary at Exit 17 of the Pike (Centre and Washington Streets, etc), with the Crowne Plaza hotel in the middle.

That's never bothered me much on a bike, but it probably isn't much fun for pedestrians.

My fiancée recently got a Brompton folding bike at Broadway Bicycle School. I can't speak for the selection, but she spoke highly of the staff.

Ace Wheelworks apparently has some less expensive folding bikes.

When I went to Ace they didn't have most of their folding bikes in that specific store, most of them were at one of their other locations (in belmont). If you want to call ahead a day or two in advance they are happy to have a selection at the specific store. Also many of their bikes in store/warehouse aren't assembled at any given time but again if you call ahead they're happy to help you. This is strictly from a sample size of one visit looking for folding bikes.

Do you still have this bike, "Breezer Itzy"? I maybe interested if you can send it to Toronto, ON., Canada.

Its a sturdy - well made bike, but its small scale makes it less stable than a bigger / heavier folder with bigger wheels. The price is $175 firm. Here is some more info:

"The Breezer itzy with its 14-inch wheels is our smallest and lightest Folding bike. This single-speed bike delivers amazing mobility in a quick, space-saving package. The itzy weighs 19.5 lbs. For riders 4’2” to 5’9” tall, up to 190 lbs.
itzy folded size: 25.75" x 12.5" x 24"
