ETA: Items are sold.

Just re-posted on Craigslist with a new, lower price to try to sell our old TV. Thought I'd see if anyone locally was interested as well. It works fine, but due to moving to a much smaller space, we decided to upgrade to a TV that doesn't take up as much floor space. I would really love to see someone make use of the TV. Brief summary: 26" High Def CRT TV. We'll throw in our DVD player as well. It can all be yours for $30!

here's craigslist post with more details and pictures:

My understanding is that if you leave a CRT TV, regardless of size, on the curb in advance of trash day, it will not be scavenged.

I'm not sure Goodwill wants it either. Assuming that you are in Somerville, you can call 311 at least 24 hours before your usual trash day, then leave it out for city pickup at no charge. I don't know how Cambridge, Medford, or Arlington handle this.

ETA: Goodwill says they don't accept TVs

I had very good luck giving a CRT TV away via Craigslist last summer.

So, you might find a taker, but probably not one who will pay.
