does anybody know where there's a good brunch in the square (or in the boston area in general) that serves tofu? the only place i've been that does is lucy's in brookline and blue shirt.

Middle East in Central Sq. has tofu kabobs on their lunch/brunch menu along with other vegan and vegetarian goodies like masaah (eggplant), pumpkin kibby, maklouta (bean stew), and majudra (lentil stew).

They do lunch from 11am-4pm and brunch only until 3pm (brunch is the more traditional breakfast foods although they do have some Middle Eastern egg-based foods). It's one of my favorite weekend brunch places!

I know that Christopher's in Porter Square serves tofu and does brunch (I'm not sure if the brunch menu has tofu but it probably does).

I don't know their tofu items, but Veggie Planet has a yummy brunch! Their belgian waffles are to die for.

has anyone gone there recently for brunch? i went there fairly recently for lunch, and was disappointed to see them microwave my food right in front of me...ew. that sort of turned me off from trying the brunch!
