fun places to drink and see live music around fenway? (apologies for non-davis-specific recs)

i know this isn't davis square specific, and i apologize, but you guys have always come through for me in the past in terms of recs, so i figured i'd try. i'm asking for a friend of mine who's coming to boston for the baseball (she's a braves fan and also apparently a red sox fan), and because she's staying in copley and going to see a couple games, she's looking for cool places to get a post-game drink and maybe see some live music in the general fenway/back bay area. and i know nothing that could help her, because i don't hang around down there.

oh, wait, eastern standard.

anyway. other cool places to drink! and/or bars with live music! help?

There's all of Landsdowne St of course - and La Verdad Taqueria is actually good - but I also recommend Church of Boston. If she'll take the T a few stops she could get up to Brighton Music Hall and the Paradise Rock Club.

I am a HUGE fan of Woody's. They don't have live music, but they do have awesome pizza.

basically take your pick of places on boylston. you can slowly work your way back to copley from the game and you'll pass a ton of nice drinking spots in a variety of atmospheres from sports pub to high end.

There's a new place in Fenway on brookine ave called Yardhouse that's just awesome. They have a ton of beer, huge space, tv's, there's a patio and private area too, I highly recommend it.

I've only been to Church once and awhile back ago, but they're just on Kilmarnock St.
