Dente's is closed for vacation and I need to get a haircut this weekend. Any recommendations?

I don't wear my hair super short so I'd need a place than can do scissor cuts as opposed to buzz cuts, which seem to be more the norm these days.

Thanks

Elite Salon on Mass Ave (next to Joe Sent Me) does a good job on my son's hair (scissors), and my husband's hair (which is long).

Do you think they'd do a good job on the little girl in the icon? She wants her hair short enough not to tangle, but not buzzed.

They also have cut my hair and my daughter's hair (which is very fine but long) and did a nice job. I think they could do a good job if it's just a basic cut (without lots of feathering and layering and styling). I know during the week, it's $10 for a kid's cut (not sure if it's more on the weekend since they are busier).

Hair Co. in Porter Square does a nice job. I go to Jodi(the owner) and have watched her do a number of men's hair cuts which all look great when they walk out. She uses scissors and uses the buzzer to trim the short hairs at the back of the neck if they need it.

Where exactly is it? I don't recognize the address given, "One Porter Square".

That's the address of the Porter Square Galleria, where Pier 1 and Planet Fitness are.

The building directly across from the T station which also has Pier 1 in it. It's also across the street from the CVS there.

Thanks. I never realized it had that strange address, instead of a proper one on White Street or Somerville Ave.

I go to Supercuts in Central Square. Just $15! I get scissor cuts there myself.

There's a closer one on Mass. Ave. at Rindge Ave.

I like Salon Cu in Ball Square - Caitlyn, one of their stylists, always does a great job.

See sisters Dot and Xuyen at Hair International on Mass. Ave., near Day St. and The Modern Brewer. Good work, what you ask for, friendly, and inexpensive. Enjoy!

Razors, the men's place on Highland off Cherry, is where my husband has been going lately. They do a nice job, have a great dog who is sometimes there, and also free coffee (and sambuca).

My husband cannot stop raving about how much he loves Razors.

I have been to Salon Cu in Ball and Salon Femia on Holland. I was pleased with Cu, will never go back to Femia. (Although the lady they have doing waxing is the best I've ever had)

I love Anne Marie, on Holland St opposite the Au Bon Pain. They do a great job. Mostly men's barbering but they I do see a handful of girls and some grown women get their hair cut there too. Can't beat the price, either: $10.
