Styrofoam recycling - August 11th

Styrofoam Recycling Day, August 11
Styrofoam cannot be recycled through the regular Zero-Sort Recycling pickup, so the City is hosting a Styrofoam Recycling Day on Aug. 11 from 9 a.m. until noon at the DPW Yard (at the same time as the August Hazardous Household Waste Drop-Off). Please save up your clean Styrofoam products and drop them off.

I had no idea styrofoam could be recycled. Will this be happening during every hazardous waste day? If so, from now on I'll save it until hazardous waste days instead of throwing in the trash.

I suspect at best this will be a few times a year thing. I don't know how much refoamit charges for these events.
