Sorry, but East Asia is gone (although their web site lives on: http://www.eastasiacooking.com/). I'm not sure when it closed. I just noticed the sign in the window yesterday.

NOOOOO! That place was soooo good! Some dishes I couldn't find done right in the five surrounding towns, only they could cook! Primo vegetarian dumplings the likes of which you couldn't even get in chinatown!

That was my first thought, too! That is indeed what the sign said at least when I passed by a week ago. Obviously something changed in the last few days-- this sucks!
