Finding the Cambridge Chicken People

A couple years ago there was a bit of a brouhaha in Cambridge surrounding some folks on Putnam street who wanted to own a couple chickens and ducks. My understanding of the incident was that they lost their appeal and chickens are not longer allowed in Cambridge.

I was wondering if anyone had contact information for the folks involved.

I am writing an article for a sustainable farming magazine and would like to compare this situation to one in Oakland California, where recently chickens got the green light.

I don't anything about the people you're talking about, but I live in Cambridge and there are people who live near me who have chickens. I don't personally know them, but I've seen the chickens -- they're pretty obvious from the sidewalk -- and I can let you know where they are if you're interested in trying to talk to them.

Despite that incident (where the Board of Zoning Appeals basically said, "This is something unusual, and therefore we're banning it"), I've heard several vague reports of other people in Cambridge keeping chickens.
