I didn't know that until I read your comment. I've always associated him solely with WBCN.

Whereas I never associated him with BCN until the hoopla over the closing of BCN, because I moved to Boston from DC in 1997, and, contrary to what wikipedia says, they had the Big Mattress on ZLX, as well.

I first heard him on the radio around 1975, after I moved here for college. He had a second show on BCN under the pseudonym 'Duane Glasscock'.

Ah, yes, Duane Glasscock...I can still remember a "One Night in Bangkok" parody called "One Night with Glasscock", back when you could sometimes say "asshole" on the radio if you snuck it into a song, and nobody would have a coronary ("think of the CHILDREN!!!!"). I always enjoyed those song parodies, and was disappointed when I moved back to the area after 8.5 years in GA and found that they'd pretty much stopped doing them. *sigh*
