Damaged plastic totes outside Rite-Aid

davis_squareI have twice now encountered a stack of slightly damaged (broken hinges, holes/cracks in the bottom, but still stackable and closable) totes outside of Rite-Aid, on the sidewalk on Highland. Both times were on nights that aren't trash/recycling pickup nights. Does anyone know the provenance or fate of these totes?
