Ever wanted to vocally throw your support behind a cause in which you believe?Heckle a self-important leader? Report on a breaking news story?

Well, here's your chance...and you can be captured on celluloid for all eternity.

Ogygia Avenue Films seeks twenty male extras for the shoot on Saturday, 25 June. Call time is at 8:30 for a 9:30 shoot, and we wrap at 3:30. You will be fed, you'll receive a copy of the final cut, and you'll be credited in the finished film. You will also receive my eternal gratitude and a spot of good karma that goes along with that.

i need people to show up in 1920s-style grubby worker garb. think dark pants, bib overalls, suspenders, white button-down shirts, threadbare tweed sportcoats, boots or closed-toe shoes (NO FLIPFLOPS OR TEVAS, PLEASE), and porkpie hats, fedoras, newsboy caps, or greek fisherman caps. Think of Russell Crowe in Das Comeback Cinderella Man and you'll be good to go.

Due to the availability of our lead actor, rescheduling is not a possibility. It's now or never, and I can use all the help I can get. Any takers?

As a mutual friend of oakenguy, I've been secretly wanting to find out who you were anyway. What better way, than this?

Let's see... I don't have any hats. I have many work *jeans* but not pants. But I can pull off looking like a grubby worker easily: I do landscaping. I'll just wear Friday's dirty clothes. :)

Now the only catch is not having to work Saturday...

switch shifts! seriously, i need more extras. this will be more fun and edumacational.

the jeans are fine -- we'll block it so people don't see your legs. wear a white button-down shirt, suspenders, hat. we'll feed you (mmm, scones and coffee), you'll get a copy of the final cut, and you'll be credited. and you'll enjoy warm sunshine, beautiful weather, and eccentric local celebrities! really, how can you say no? :)

Hah! If only I could switch shifts! Problem: we don't do "shifts." Small landscaping company... I've been meeting with the owner (who just had a baby) on the Saturdays to go over the next week's work. (Otherwise, I'm usually actually doing the work to get the week caught up). Either way, it's a day-light type of job :(

argh, no suspenders or hat. I hear there's a neat store in Davis called "good will," though. I should pay them a visit...

And come on, trying to tease me with "warm sunshine, beautiful weather, eccentric local celebrities"? I get those all the time at work! ;)

OK, enough excuses. I'll try to make it Saturday :)
