For some peculiar reason, I find myself in need of a contractor with expertise in water infiltration problems. (and, unrelatedly, with bathroom tiling.) Anyone have a recommendation?

Sergio's Renovations, in Medford, did a ninja-like job with emergency bathroom repairs, including tiling.

To clarify:

We have water coming in from around a window that we suspect is also getting into the walls.

If the water isn't too bad, after the storm is over, grab a ladder outside, utilize a caulk gun and some silicone sealant and it might do the trick. It's also a lot cheaper than new siding, which is what a "water infiltration contractor" is likely to recommend. Until then, if it's not a lot of water, stuff paper towels around where the water is coming in, and replace regularly until the storm is over. It's not pretty but will slow the flow for the short term emergency.

I've been loving Joe Coviello, who I found through DS-LJ.

Kabalane Jeneid, of Building Construction Professionals did a very speedy job on our bathroom renovation, which was a necessary result of water damage. Contact info: bcp411@hotmail.com, (617)462-0608, www.callbcp.com.

He was also extremely helpful in dealing with the Somerville inspectors and my insurance company.
