Tuesday FYI: Yes Trash, No School

Subject pretty much says it all. Trash pickup is *on* for tomorrow according to 311. I put ours out, but it doesn't look like anyone else within blocks has done so yet.

While trying to find the answer on the City's web site, I discovered schools will remain closed. Boston and Cambridge schools will be open, but a lot of others are closed, too.

FYI, I've found that the city's Twitter and Facebook are updating faster & more thoroughly than the web site. (by which i mean, @SomervilleCity and facebook.com/311Somerville are completely awesome)

Thanks for the tip. Of course, the 311 phone person didn't mention the part about not putting stuff out until morning, so now I'm wondering if I should bring it all back. That would be a pain. :/

Yes! Kudos to the city for excellent use of social media to keep (the internet-connected) citizenry informed. And using it to get info from residents, too.
