I'm in need of new tires and the specific ones I want are not carried locally. Places I have called can order them, but have all quoted me $550 - $600. I can order them direct for $318. If I purchase them does anyone know of a garage that will install them for me, or do most places only install the tires they sell? Thanks for any insight!

They can get their hands on just about anything you might want. I need to get in touch with them to get a set of Nokian Hakkapeliittas fitted to my car for the winter. (IMO TireRack's selection of winter tires isn't that great.)

Date: 2012-11-03 05:10 am (UTC)now, many tire places WILL haggle and match tire rack + some % because they know what the prices are and factor in shipping.
some will offer STEEP discounts if you have AAA - almost better than tire rack.
that said, i've gotten some very good deals at the "rack".
also depending on sales/etc, it might be worth joining costco JUST for the tires.

They're awesome, and they don't care if you get it from Tirerack.
