As a followup to the five public meetings held earlier this year, the City of Somerville has created a website about the Davis Square Streetscape Improvement Project:
http://www.somervillema.gov/davissquarestreetscape
This is all still in a very preliminary design stage, and has no funding yet. The page links to presentations made at the public meetings.

Date: 2012-12-20 03:47 am (UTC)I really like how they've managed to keep the character of the brick sidewalks, while changing he actual walking path to concrete. Very nicely done. Also the seating area at the Elm/Summer split is good.
Any idea what the paving plan is for the middle of the plaza and for the new Mike's Plaza? The brick is pretty but treacherous.
