hazardous waste dispsal
Dec. 28th, 2012 10:14 pmThe city doesn't do collections December through March. Does anyone know where I can safely dispose of some motor oil, wood stain, and a few other things? Already tried giving them away several times, but no takers.
Thanks!

ETA: Oh, motor oil! Missed that. There's a Mass. law that stores that sell motor oil also accept used motor oil. At least I think there still is - I was here when it was passed (1980s, memorable because of the bitching & moaning of stores - esp. Caldor & Bradlees!! - about how difficult it would be to implement) and though I then left the city & state for 16 years I think it's still around. Hence AutoZone taking it as Bikergeek states below. Just found the state's page. Can't help much with stain, unless there's so little you can dry it out, then it can go in the trash.
