They've definitely plowed, but since no one is salting or sanding, the roads are ridiculously treacherous for just 3-4 inches of snow. Can someone figure out who to talk to in order to make the roads less dangerous?

Sounds like a call to 311 to me.

Is this a street in Somerville or Cambridge? I don't see it on my map... Ignore this comment, as post was subsequently edited.

I just finished biking from Sullivan Square to Davis Square. Major roads like Somerville Ave seemed reasonably well plowed. Small streets like Orchard Street, less so.

ETA: If your Somerville street is still bad this morning, definitely call 311.

well, they were salting and sanding the Broadway and the roads around Ball square yesterday afternoon even before the snow started. So once it did start snowing, not much was sticking to the streets. Everything stayed pretty clear throughout the storm, at least in my neighborhood.

by '24' do you mean '28' (McGrath Highway) ?

Last night around midnight, I biked on the part of McGrath from Pearl south to Washington. Like the other streets I used, it was somewhat slushy, but passable. (I'm sure it's much better now.)

How interesting. I live on Highland Ave near Davis and they salted several times ahead of the storm than came through with plows several times an hour once the snow started. The street looked very clear.

Also don't forget to do your part and make sure your sidewalk is de-iced... preferably with ice melter that's pet safe.

Yes, please do! Also, if you live near a drain, please make sure it's clear so melting snow will drain through and not ice over!
