Blizzard Day 2: What's on and what's off
Feb. 9th, 2013 10:22 amOff:
= Statewide car travel ban still in full effect ETA: until 4 pm.
= NO MBTA SERVICE today at all. ETA:not on Sunday either! LIMITED service starts Sunday at 2 pm
= Diesel Cafe will be closed all day. ETA: As far as I can tell, there is no coffee to be had anywhere in Davis Square. Au Bon Pain, Mr Crepe, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, and McDonald's are all closed too.
= Somerville and Cambridge farmers' markets are cancelled
= All post offices closed. No mail delivery.
= ETA: 3 pm performance of The Vagina Monologues is cancelled. Go at 8 pm instead.
On:
= Amsterdam Falafelshop will open as scheduled at 11 am ETA: and stay open until midnight.
= Snowmandito Party in Davis Square, starting at noon today and again on Sunday
= Snow Day in Union Square, 1-3 pm today
= ETA: 8 pm performance of The Vagina Monologues will go on, with a reduced cast.
= ETA: The Somerville Theatre will open for movie showings beginning at or after 4 pm, including the Sci-Fi Festival programs.
= ETA: Johnny D's appears to be open.
= ETA: CVS is open
Uncertain
= The status of the Vagina Monologues and Somerville Theatre generally is uncertain as of 11:15 am (when I'm making this edit). The T@F webmaster says: "With the T closed and the driving ban in effect, we are exploring options for re-scheduling the show. In the meantime, we may be performing a version of the show today for those within easy walking distance. Please stay tuned for further updates." (I suggest rechecking these two links periodically, as I may not be able to update this post in a timely manner.)
Please post comments with any other open/closed/on/off information that you have.

Also, there were two deaths and some injuries from people sitting inside cars while their tailpipes were still in snowdrifts. DON'T DIE.
