We've got an old singer treadle sewing table (no machine, just the cabinet) that we were going to restore, but have realized it's too far down the project list to devote space to it.
The cast iron is in good shape, the cabinet is solid, but the veneer needs a bit of love.
If you want it, it's yours. We're located in North Cambridge just off Rindge.
If nobody claims it by Friday, it'll go to craigslist.

Funnily enough, I have an extremely similar item (unless my housemate has already given it away). The one we have actually does contain the sewing machine, although I don't know whether it works. It belonged to my great-aunt who passed away in 2006, and it has been in our basement since then. If you're interested, let me know. (And sorry mytheria for hijacking your post!)

That's the exact same one that we have! The surface of ours was damaged too so we pulled the thin veneer off and sanded the underlying wood down a smidge. The tiny drawers are awesome. The center drawer doesn't work too well for us - either we are missing a piece or the slider design is poor. We still use it as a sewing machine table, but with our newer Singer on top :-)
