Did any of our Powderhouse area neighbors actually go to the meeting they hosted before starting the early-phase Green Line construction
at the Harvard St. railroad bridge about the construction plans?
I missed the meeting, but was under the impression (from the Somerville Journal, perhaps) that they planned to mostly do work that entail road closings on weekends, with an eventual widening of the entire bridge to happen during those closings.
However, since then, Harvard St under the bridge seems to be reduced to traffic in only one direction (currently, into Somerville is open, out of Somerville is closed) on many occasions, including mid-day and rush hour both. Since I go that way to get from my corner of Somerville to my kid's school corner of Somerville, I'd love to know if they've changed the construction plan, or if I missed some details about closing Harvard St at these times, or what.
