I wanted to attend the ResiStat meeting last night but wasn't able to. Is anyone who was there able to post some of the highlights?

The city has put on hold the process of selling the Day/Herbert parking lot to a hotel developer. Instead, there will be a 'Somerville By Design' process for Davis Square, starting at a public meeting on May 21, location not yet determined.

That is not something I expected to hear.

The Mayor, or someone working for him, decided that too many local residents were feeling left out or uninvolved with the process. So the city has put on the brakes.

That was the big news. I don't remember much else, really.

That's cool. The hotel always seemed like an arbitrary and dumb idea, plus that informational meeting was what, like 11 AM on a Wednesday or something?

That was an on-site meeting for potential bidders (developers), not for residents.
