I so much regret that because of Something Else in my life right now, I will not be able to attend tonight's feedback meeting. I had been looking forward to it for weeks.

Thank you for all of your hard work on this event. Working with you on it was a joyful experience. Your successor has very large shoes to fill.

One of the hidden costs of this whole ugly affair is that it robs you, Ron, of time to be as involved in the community as you would otherwise be. That's a sad waste for everyone, and Somerville will be a better place when you are free of this egregious waste of energy.
