First let me say a huge thank you to those that shopped and especially volunteered at the library book sale last weekend.

Now... Please join us on June 17 at this fundraiser for The Friends of the Somerville Public Library: Our guest speaker Rohan Anderson of the book and blog Whole Larder Love will talk about sustainable eating, while demonstrating how to use homegrown food and gathered plants in cookery to suit all ages. The talk will take place on Monday June 17 (Bunker Hill Day) at the Fringe studio, 9 Olive Square, Somerville MA; map, from 7-9pm. Social hour beforehand from 6pm. There is parking on nearby Washington Street or Somerville Ave.

What does this have to do with libraries, you might ask? Beyond creating an educational and enjoyable evening... this is a chance to meet board members and other volunteers of the Friends all the while raising money to continue community-building programming at our three library branches.
