My favorite place for it is Hana Sushi over on Mass Ave. You can get it with or without the clay pot, but you obviously want it with.

You might want to call and make sure they have it, though, because last time I was there, they'd run out (?!?). That was the first time I've ever seen that happen (and I get it every time I go there) so it may be an extreme rarity.

There is a really yummy korean restaurant in Union Square whose name I can't remember right now.

Also, Kaya in Porter Square does a nice one as well.

I'm sorry to say I think you're three years too late, as Wu Chon Somerville was the only place around I knew that gave eight or nine types of ban chan.

Now I go to the place in Medford - Chung Ki Wa.

Oh, actually, I think Wu Chon is where I was thinking of.... that's too bad they aren't there any more!

I second Chung Ki Wa. And I've personally had the bi bim bop many times, stone bowl and all.

Thirding Chung Ki Wa. If my Korean husband approves, and points out all the little details they get right, you know it's good. Well worth the 15 minute bus ride from Davis.

Inexpensive but good is Cho Cho's in the Porter Exchange food court. Porter Exchange is the building with the City Sports on one corner and the Tavern on the Square on the other.
