Moving, many things for sale and free -- Updated!

Hi all,

Long-time Somerville resident and fervent DSLJ lurker here, sadly moving out of the country and selling most of my earthly goods. New craigslist posting here: http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/fuo/3864653881.html but that doesn't even cover it all, so if you are looking to cheaply furnish a room or apartment, be in touch. All prices are negotiable, especially if you take more than one item. We are sort of between Davis and Porter on Hancock St between Summer and Elm.

Also FREE are a lot of kitchen staples, in half-gallon wide mouth canning jars with airtight plastic lids (rather than the metal two-part lids that come with canning jars). White, brown, & powdered sugars, panko, wheatberries, also a large jar of oat tops, which are supposed to be good for the nervous system: http://www.oregonswildharvest.com/owh/browse/product/oats_'milky'_tops_whole

Additionally, because I doubt that shelters will find these very helpful, I have two cans of Oregon brand Blackberries: http://www.vitacost.com/oregon-fruit-products-blackberries-in-light-syrup and a killer pie recipe to go with them (see userpic). These are (to my knowledge) impossible to find in the area, so I order them in cases. I know canned blackberries sounds a little weird, but these are great for baked desserts.

Finally, I have a small, like-new paperback copy of the Qur'an, Pickthall translation, that I would like to give away to someone who will take care of it and ideally use it in some way. Completely unmarked, no bent pages, etc.

Spices: any interesting curries, chiles, or gourmet cinnamons? Also interested in garam masala, nutmeg, paprika (regular or smoked), ethiopian spices and fancy salts.

Cinnamons and paprikas are gone, but there are definitely still curries and chiles. Actually I have a bunch of whole dried chiles (pasilla, guajillo, chipotle, etc.) that I bought to make molé and then never did! We still have garam masala and nutmeg also. PM me and I'll give you details and hold them for you if you can pick them up this weekend.

Nope, sorry. (Well, the egg beater is going into storage). In the general category of kitchen appliances, we have a very good (and large) rice cooker, and a Ninja blender/food processor. Both free.

A Ninja blender/food processor for free? I would love that! I have been wanting a vitamix but they are somewhat pricey and someone suggested one of these so I'd love to give it a try. Have you found they are good for making blended ice cream-like concoctions? Anyway, it doesn't matter, I am interested--thank you! Could I get that today? I will be going out and could be swing by when I do if you are going to be around a little later this morning. Let me know!

Sorry, one is gone and we are keeping two. But if you're interested in a similar product, new, we had them made at Bookcase Factory Outlet on Beacon. We had them made unfinished and then stained and weather-protected them ourselves. We love them a lot (enough to put them in storage for two years!) and it's surprisingly hard to find nice bookcases that fit under windows like that.

Hi there!! I'd be curious what you have left for spices. If not already spoken for, I'll also take the panko.

Also, is the teal shelf in your description the same as the fourth picture (in your Craigslist post)? I might be interested, but I need to measure some stuff and ask the roommate first.

All spices gone, sorry! But the panko is yours. And yes, that's the shelf in question. We used it as a bookshelf for awhile, but then it became a catchall shelf in our entryway and has been really perfect for that.
