Map of Obscure Somerville-area stairways, ramps, paths, and shortcuts

Three years ago, I began making a Google Map of obscure stairways, ramps, paths, and shortcuts in and near Somerville. Since Google Map URLs are quite long, I gave this map a shorter one that's easy to remember:

(ETA: Even though I'm tagging this "bicycle", many or most of the places marked on the map are suitable only for pedestrian use.)

There's a typo on "School St - City Hal steps"
Also, there's a blue/purple pushpin next to Beacon St near the Walgreens Steps that doesn't seem to link to any description.

I fixed the typo, and also put back the Gilman Square pushpin that had somehow got moved to the wrong place.

But I don't see any pushpin that doesn't have an attached description. I did just now edit one of the descriptions to say this:

Harold St entrance to Johnnie's Foodmaster parking lot

Path from end of Harold St to Johnnie's Foodmaster parking lot. (As of 6/24/2013, this is temporarily closed off because of construction to convert the store to a Whole Foods.)

Google Maps hint: if you click on the little chain icon next to the printer icon (at the top of the left sidebar), you will get a URL that points to the exact view you are looking at -- where it's centered, how far it's zoomed, what StreetView perspective you're looking at, everything. If you tick the "Short URL" box, you'll get a shortened goo.gl/maps/whatever URL.

Yes, I use that often! But it doesn't seem to save the state of whether I'm in Map or Satellite view. Any idea how to do that?

Does the temporary Cross Street ped/bike bridge count? It's only there while the road bridge over the commuter rail/future Green Line is being rebuilt, which should finish this fall.

I added it. I just need to remember to remove it once the real bridge reopens.

Thanks for this great map! Something you may want to add: there is now pedestrian access between the backside of Maxwell's Green and Clyde St. It's a full-width driveway with a gate blocking access to cars, but the sidewalk is open.

Thank you, too! I just added this to the map, labelling it "Maxwell's Green gate".

In the past week or two, Maxwell's Green replaced this gate with a slightly shorter one that leaves room for bicycles to go around it without having to use the sidewalk.
