I'm just curious if anyone else had their Amazon package stollen from their porch on Saturday. I'd pre-ordered Potter for the guaranteed Saturday delivery, but it wasn't there when I got home. Checking today with Amazon, UPS, and the Somerville post office, it was delivered along with the other hundreds in the neighborhood. But someone beat me to my porch.
I hope nobody else lost theirs to the thief...

I can only guess that our mail carrier hates us because we routinely have mail from Tempurpedic and such addressed to Assface Shithead.
Who knew?

Date: 2005-07-19 01:12 am (UTC)I was thinking about it tonight, and it's the easiest rip imaginable. Anyone who knew Saturday 7/16/05 was Potter Delivery Day could have gone a'gathering the packages from the porches, street to street, from people like me who are too trusting of this hood, and sold the books on the street for $10 or something. I order CDs and books from Amazon all the time, and they've always been there waiting on the porch unstollen like this was Mayberry or Japan.
Glad mine was the only one so far.
