Pet Ramp to a loving home
Jul. 6th, 2013 03:27 pmAs my cat's arthritis got worse, getting onto the bed, her nesting spot, became more fraught. So I built her a ramp. It's made from peg board, airplane wire, carpet and cable ties. It's lightweight and fairly sturdy. There is a row of feathers along the top because when I built it, I forgot that she might step out over the open space, expecting the old stairs to be there (and being largely blind), so it was a last minute addition and can certainly be removed (unless you found it as peculiarly charming as I did).
Pictures here next to the bed (from when it was first built a few months ago):

And here for a better view of it:

It's free to a good home and was built with loads of love. We had 22.25 years together, she and I, and I am sure there is someone else out there crazy enough to want something like this for their pet, too. I can probably fit it into my car (or on it) for a short hop to anywhere in Arlington or Somerville or nearby.
