Hey, folks. My doctor recently referred me to a dermatologist, and gave a list of places to try calling. I'm curious if anybody has information (positive or negative) about the people on this list:

Dermatology Associates of Concord
625 Mt Auburn Street
Cambridge MA

Dr. Merril Liteplo
Dr. Kathryn Bowers
Dr. Michael Pugliese
Dr. Terry Hadley
Dr. Eileen Deignan
Dr. Matthew Zipoli

Lexington Dermatology Associates
57 Bedford Street Suite 201
Lexington MA

Dr. Stuart Arbesfield
Dr. Lisa Arbesfield
Dr. Marion Buchsbaum
Dr. Jill Slater-Freedberg

Drs. Anita Grassi and Andree Haas
311 Arsenal Street
Watertown MA

Dr. Valori Treloar
1172 Beacon Street Suite 402
Newton MA

Dr. Katrina DY
Belmont Medical Associates
725 Concord Avenue, Suite 3300
Cambridge MA

All else held equal, I have a strong preference for closer to Camberville.

I've been going to Kathryn Bowers at the Watertown/Cambridge location for 10+ years. The practice is very efficiently run and she is no-nonsense and generally runs on time. I've seen her for a variety of skin issues and even finally got my spouse to go to her for a melanoma screening. We've both been happy with her.

I liked Dr. Grassi the one time I went to see her.

My son was seen by Dr. Grassi and Dr. Haas at various times. Both seemed nice. The building was easy to locate and parking was pretty easy (I haven't tried to get there by T, but I think you can). He just needed quick consults which basically meant they looked at him, said "oh, that's nothing to worry about" and that was it.

I found Dr. Grassi really fantastic to work with. Initial visits were really backed up at the time, but followups were quickly booked.

Dr. Liteplo is retiring from Dermatology Associates of Concord, but I plan to stay with the practice, anyway. The Cambridge location is reasonably convenient and the practice seems well-organized.

Seconded. I was just back there recently and was thinking I should write her a review on Yelp or something, because she is so great.

You should try Dr. Bowers! She's with the same practice and sees patients in both locations.

Double-check to make sure the lexington place is still there & in business. I was under the impression that they had moved on about 5 years ago.

I've never seen them myself, but I work for a Major Generic Healthplace and see a lot of referrals to Drs. Grassi and Haas. None of the other names ring a bell at all. So, there's that.

They're still there. I see Dr. Slater-Freedberg. She seems fine. It's hard to say; I've been in and out very quickly on all of my appointments. I hear that's typical with dermatologists, although I found it disconcerting at first. She's friendly for the few minutes you're in there.

The medication she prescribed works, when I actually use it, and that is good enough for me, for my dermatologist needs.

I've been to see Liteplo, Bowers, and Pugliese at various times and had good experiences with all three.

She's my dermatologist, too. I like her. Been going to her for probably close to 10 years at this point.

There's a bus that stops nearby. I forget which one, but you can catch it on Green St. in Central Square.
