SomerStreets festival on Holland St, Sunday 9/8 - "Strike Up the Bands: Music and Motion"

A leaflet that I picked up at today's Route 16 SomerStreets festival says that the next one will be Sunday, September 8, noon to 4 pm, on Holland Street between Davis and Teele Squares.

The name of the event is Strike Up The Bands (Music and Motion). I do not know anything more about it. If you do, please add a comment here.

When I ran into Carlene Campbell from the mayor's office at yesterday's event, she didn't have much detail. She said the city would be working with Johnny D's and PJ Ryan's on booking bands. I suggested she also involve the Somerville Theatre, and maybe include local favorite Emperor Norton's Stationary Marching Band if they are available.
