I was a bit annoyed at the mention of the influx of people from Cambridge after Cambridge outlawed rent control in 1996, as though that had been a whim on the part of Cambridge, and not as a result of a statewide referendum passed mainly by votes in parts of the state that didn't have rent control.
I didn't read the entire article since the web site asked me to pay for it, but I was surprised that people were self identifying as hipsters.. do people actually do that? (Non-Ironically?..har har har)
I thought I linked to a copy that was free for anyone to read? I could read it with the text-only Lynx browser, which certainly doesn't know about my Boston Globe login.
We're so hip it hurts, but there's still no food trucks in Davis Square area. Maybe that would be the tipping point where we'd get too hip for hipsters.
