Our rabbit gave birth a couple of weeks ago to 4 little ones and we are putting out an early post to see who might be interested in one. These are Holland Lop mix rabbits and will grow to be quite small. They are very friendly, litter-box trained, and make great house pets.

We are not sure of their sex yet (male/female, hard to tell!) but they are all different colors: grey/white, grey/black, black, and chestnut.

If you are interested in checking them out and owning one, let me know! They will be ready to be weened off their mother the week of November 6th.

First to pay can reserve first choice!

There is no way I could have a baby rabbit in the house (my cat would probably think it was a toy), but I just have to say...OMG BUNNEEEEEEEZ!
Thank you for the dose of cute. Here's hoping they get good homes!

My giant murder-cats do quite well with my wife's cockatiels. the birds are free range most of the time and the cats either get startled and run away, ignore them, or sometimes sniff them. I think a bunny could similarly be introduced without much fuss.

My sister in Alaska has been badgering me for some time now to get a bunny just like this (she got 2 from a woman at a flea market), even though I keep telling her that I just can't afford one right now. (Not to mention that, like badseed1980, I also have a cat, albeit a 17-year-old arthritic one.) Still, they're sooooooooo cute! Baby bunnies! *squee!*

Cats and rabbits can cohabitate. Likewise with dogs.

I remember us going to oneof the House Rabbit Society's foster homes, and the lady had a few pets of her own. One was a hyperkinetic small dog, bouncing off the walls. One was a siamese cat, who had regally stretched out under the dining room table, clearly trying its best to ignore the dog.

Oh yes, and also ignore the freakish godforsaken abomination of a 18-lb Flemish Giant, lying in the exact same pose as the cat, about 2 feet behind it. :D

Granted, a Flemish giant isn't a baby bunny, but still, pecking order is not solely determined by who the carnivore is and who the herbivore is. (The only reason our rabbits haven't taken us over is that we have thumbs.)

Oh gosh. If you have more baby bunnies a year from now when my kids are old enough to help care for them…

For those interested in having a pet bunny, this website has a great Bunny Basics section:

Do you have any idea about how allergenic bunnies are? If someone is allergic to cats and dogs, would a bunny cause similar problems? I would *LOVE* a fuzzy pet, but my son's asthma is horrible if he is around dogs.
