There's a Sean Collier fundraiser today at Lyndell's. Moon pies + raffle of some gorgeous Boston sports scenes framed up. Go.

They are neither moon pies nor black and white cookies, they are Lyndell's half moon cakes, darn it. :)

though it's now too late to buy a raffle, they were also raffling off things like a gift certificate to Lyndell's and to other neighborhood restaurants. :)

I knew some pastry pedant would have something to say about that. I just used the same shortcut that I used on twitter to save characters :) . I admit I did not adhere to appropriate pastry nomenclature. I'll do better next time.

Yeah, I hadn't seen all the other items, the table was kind of dominated by the big framed pieces and I was in a hurry. I apparently didn't win that awesome photo of Fenway Park Opening Day in 1912. Darn it.

Yeah, I didn't win the gift certificate to buy lots more half moons, either. Guess I'll have to buy them the old fashioned way. :)
