Kindred Tea & Tonic - any news at all?

For what seems like at least a year, construction has been going on next to Johnny D's to create a restaurant called Kindred Tea & Tonic Cafe. It's very slow construction, and the place still doesn't look like it's anywhere near ready to open for business. Does anyone know more?

I don't think the timing lines up for them to be related, but based on the eater.com article, Carla DeLellis (who owns Johnny D's) owns Kindred, and isn't happy with the tax hikes (http://www.wickedlocal.com/somerville/news/x579270315/Somerville-officials-ripped-for-tax-hike-businesses-fear-cuts-to-services?zc_p=1). I can't imagine that's the reason for the holdup, though, right?

I would say the tax thing definitely is related to the uncertain nature of Kindred...see the last paragraph of this article:
