It looks like the wings place next to the Dominos (at Elm & Russell St.) is being replaced with a new shawarma place. Doesn't look open quite yet - does anybody have any info about it?

Are you telling me my beloved Wing Works closed? Nooooo! :( I'm just about to move around the corner from there this weekend. This is unfortunate news, as I was looking forward to shoving some delicious garlic parmesan wings into my face hole and immediately making a mad dash home to my bathroom.

But in other news, I like shawarma.

Speaking of shawarma, Noor Mediterranean Grill next to Powder House Circle opened the other day. I haven't been yet, but they have shawarma, among other things, on the menu.

I've been by already! Friendly eager folks, very good food (stuffed grape leaves, falafel, baba ganoush, shawarma, kibbeh, etc. I hope their price point does not bite them, though; most main-dish items (sandwiches and platters both) were $8-$9, though quite large.
