Theatre@First, in association with the Anarchists' Society of Shakespeareans and The Gunpowder Plot, welcome you to the stage for an afternoon of beer with the Bard!

Shakespeare Slam!

WHEN: Sunday, March 2nd from 3-5pm

WHERE: The Burren, 247 Elm St, Somerville, MA

WHO: You! Get up on stage and strut your Shakespeare stuff! Monologues, sonnets, stand-up...where there's Will there's a way to the stage!

$5 to participate, $10 to watch! We'll have materials on hand in case you're inspired in the moment to get your Bard of Avon on.

We'll have exciting performers ready to entertain us, trivia contests and prizes, and Theatre@First's own Rosencrantz and Guildenstern with a sneak preview of our upcoming production of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead!

Tread the boards with Theatre@First and raise a glass to Shakespeare on Sunday, March 2nd!

What is The Gunpowder Plot? Is it another local theatre company? (And if so, do you have a link for it?)

It's Michael Anderson's project. I do not believe he has a website.

Do you happen to know when and where their next performances are? (I had not heard of them before today.)

Michael will be performing as part of the Slam on March 2nd. If you're interested in other opportunities to see his work, that's probably the best place to catch him and ask.
