Hi all,

I've got a 34" Sony Trinitron HD television (widescreen) that I need to get rid of. My problem is: the thing weighs like 400 pounds and taking it out to my curb isn't really an option. Is there some sort of service/company in the area that would allow me to pay people to come and drag the thing away.

It actually works great (and has a fantastic picture) but it takes up too much room in my tiny living room. Advice is appreciated. Thanks!

I had the same issue with my last TV. I put it on Craigslist for free ("you move it, you own it") and it went in no time. Another man's trash......

I was thinking of the same thing, but saying "$100 or best offer" to make it sound like it was still valuable, and thus whet people's appetites.

Some people look at the 'free stuff' section of craigslist, but they will never see if you post as '$100 or best offer.' Or, 'valuable antique! $500 or best offer,' or even '$1 or best offer.'

I tried that with an old surround sound system with tower speakers, I think it was $50 or BO...zero responses. Put it up for free and I had a taker in less than an hour.
