I am looking for a friendly, responsible woman to take over my lease (ends August 31) to share a roomy duplex apartment in a beautiful triple decker near Tufts and Teele Square (a five-minute bus ride or 10 min walk from the Red Line T at Davis Square). This is a perfect apartment for someone who is looking for more room and privacy than the typical housemate situation since you'll have the entire second floor (one large bedroom and a smaller room) to yourself.

The apartment is on the first and second floors, with a front porch and back deck, good-sized living room with wood floors, and eat-in kitchen with pantry. The living room is simply furnished so room can easily be made for your furniture. The kitchen is fully stocked with pans, appliances, and other culinary gadgets. Free laundry and storage available in basement. Front and back porches. Small yard. Plenty of on-street parking with Somerville permit.

You get the large, sunny, second-floor bedroom, approximately 12 x 14 with two windows and a nice-sized closet. Your second room is a a smaller second-floor room (10 x 12+?). Your bedrooms are the last two pics. Rent for the two rooms is $800 a month. Utilities (gas for cooking/heat, electric, internet) and some household expenses (toilet paper, trash bags, cleaning supplies) are shared. Split two ways, the expenses tend to be around $65-$120 per month, but can go up to $150 per month during extremely cold weather.

First and last month's rent and references required.

She's looking for someone who is a queer-friendly woman, non-smoker, someone who is conscientious about participating in the chore rotation for common area cleaning, punctual with rent, etc. Sorry, pets are not allowed.
