I missed the notices of this, just happened to see a flyer at City Hall today.

The City of Somerville will host its 14th annual rabies clinic for cats and dogs on Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Department of Public Works (1 Franey Road). Rabies vaccinations and on-site licenses for dogs will be available at the clinic. Vaccines are offered at a cost of $10, and dog licenses at $20 for spayed and neutered dogs with proof, and $30 for all other dogs....

There can be a bit of a line, and the big dogs scared my cat and the small dogs last year. I wish they'd separate the lines somehow. But you can't complain about the price, and the folks staffing it are doing their best to move it along.

Also if you have proof of your vaccine from the rabies clinic last April 6, this year's vaccine will be a 3-year vaccine. (I don't have to go this year because last year's vaccine was a 3-year vaccine for my dog.)

I think the proof has to be the paper certificate you receive that contains the date of the vaccine and the date that it expires, along with the vet's license number, and the number of the vaccine lot, and all that info. : )
