For you travelers out there?

If you had very little money to spend (like, $8-900 TOPS for everything, air, lodging, rental car if necessary), and only a week (MAYBE 9-10 days),where's a neat place to go? I'm looking for somewhere in the US that's different from where I've spent most of my life (Boston/New England), or somewhere in the Europe vicinity that's cheap-would love to see some suggestions from people who have been there, done that...! :)

a wonderfully cheap european city to visit is Prague.... im not sure about airfare to there, but you can litterally get a 4 course meal at a nice resteraunt for two for under $10... plus its beautiful and fun!!
