I've asked this of a few friends, and tweeted it to some Somerville officials, and now I'm asking you, fine folks of DSLJ. What do you think about turning right after stopping at these red lights? Why?

EDIT: There are no "No Turn on Red" signs at these intersections.

I have always treated it as no because continuing through the rotary is not making a turn - the rotary direction is the direction of through traffic, and there is a red light for through traffic.

However, when the light turns back from red to flashing yellow, it drives me batty that people entering the rotary do not yield to formerly stopped traffic in the rotary, as they would when that traffic was moving.

People would honk at me for yielding in that circumstance. Which of course would only make me even more likely to yield, because New England obstinance ;P.
