Don't forget to stop by the Brown School PTA booth for your 2014/2015 Brown School Community Card!  We will be in Seven Hills Park, behind the Holland St T entrance.  The cards are still just $10, and give you year long savings at many popular Davis Sq restaurants and shops (listed behind cut below).  Thanks to Rockland Trust who sponsors the printing of the cards, 100% of the money earned goes directly to the PTA of Somerville's oldest public school, located at the intersection of Willow & Kidder Ave.

Ah well - the fabulous deal at Dave's is now only a good deal instead of a great deal.

Still - this card is SUCH A DEAL if you patronize any of these places. (or have considered doing so) And it funds a good cause.

yeah; one thing I miss deeply is the free hot dog with purchase of fry and soda at Spike's. I mean, I miss Spike's, too, but that deal....I probably got 300% of the cost of the card back over the course of a year eating there once or twice a month.

Yeah, that was a good deal, but I miss Spikes anyway. I also miss when the Johnny D's discount was $10. They made a lot of money off of me in those days because I'd go and have drinks or whatever. $2 is only worth is if I was going to go anyway. Jumbos and WPF are still great deals, though.

Yeah, I keep wondering when it's worth kicking old stalwarts off the card in favor of fresh sources. The Johnny D's and Redbones deals have gotten so much weaker over the years...

But I bought mine today, too...

If you can't make it to ArtBeat, the cards will be on sale at Mr Crepe, Davis Squared and When Pigs Fly in mid-August, or email brownschoolcommunitycard@gmail.com and we will figure out how to get one to you. You can also wait until mid-September and buy one from a Brown School student.
