I wonder if this is what my parents in NH were talking about when they said they'd seen "rivers in the streets of Somerville"...considering that my basement apartment flooded this morning, though, I can't say I'm surprised. (We're OK now, thanks to the kindness of friends and acquaintances, and we didn't really lose anything of value, but it was still a hell of a pain in the ass (and now the lower back) to deal with.

3--the first time was when you were here (just before Valentine's Day 2008), and the second was July 2010. All 3 times have been after truly torrential downpours (frozen ground the 1st time), so it's not all her fault...not but what she hasn't neglected enough other stuff, mind you.
