Eleni of New York has closed

Eleni of New York, the tailor next door to Diesel Cafe, has closed. The sign is gone and the windows are papered over.

I don't recall seeing any advance notice of the closing, so I hope lots of people don't have clothes locked in there.

I don't know her last name; if I did, I could look for obituaries. (Do you?)

Sadly that was my first thought too. She seemed ancient the first time I had her hem pants, six years or so ago.
