davis_square | Upcoming Somerville Local First Events (Reply)

Somerville Local First is hosting several upcoming events that may be of interest to the Davis Square LiveJournal Community. These include a networking lunch (members and nonmembers welcome), a panel about breaking into the food business and two holiday markets!

Tuesday, November 4 at 11:30 a.m.: Lunch at Olde Magoun's Saloon
This will include a short presentation by SLF's executive director with plenty of time for networking. Free to members, $10 for nonmebrs (come see what the organization is all about!).

Thursday, November 13 at 6:30 p.m.: Breaking Into the Food Business Panel at Aeronaut Brewing
Head some of Somerville's successful food entrepreneurs, Jeremy Spindler of Spindler Confections, and Heather Schmidt of Union Square Donuts, discuss opening and operating a food business in Somerville. Someone from the city will also be on hand to discuss things like permits.

Sunday, November 30 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.: Local is for Lovers Holiday Market at the Arts at the Armory
Another FREE market will take place at the beautiful Arts at the Armory once again! Get ready for food, fun, local artists and crafters, amazing local businesses, Knucklebones, live music, and MUCH more!
