I'm looking for an electrician to install an outdoor outlet. Any recommendations?

We have the Foti guys come over all the time for stuff. Last week it was our front porch light, a foyer light with 1930s wiring, and more. Years back I had the outdoor outlet done. Never had any issues with the quality of their work, and prices seemed very fair to us.

I highly recommend E/R Electric (Eddie Rodrigues) http://www.angieslist.com/companylist/us/ma/cambridge/er-electric-reviews-2320075.htm (and email e.r_electric (at) yahoo.com)

We had an interior rewiring job and had a couple of quotes which called for multiple thousands of dollars and two to three days of full work. Eddie came and said he'd do it in a morning, with one assistant, for under $700. It almost seemed too good to be true, but he showed up right on time, went immediately to work, and they were done by 11am. (This included rough patching of drywall not retouched painting, but we can do that ourselves.) I was highly impressed.

Like a lot of busy contractors, apparently from reviews he can sometimes have... scheduling issues. But I didn't have any.

We've liked Gibbons Electric: www.gibbonselectric.com/

Thirded. I like to use an owner/operator electrician but those guys can often be unavailable. Gibbons is a good reliable source and their electricians are professional. Lots of people I know use them.

I may be biased, but Conor O'Keefe Master Electrician is great ;)

He has done work for amazing Somerville entities as Taza Chocolate, Aeronaut Brewery and Something Gud.

Like most people in Somerville, we live in a house from c 1910, and we have the old style of wiring. Has anyone had their house rewired with contemporary wiring WHILE living in the house? I work from home, so I've put this off ... but feel we really should do it at some point. Any ballpark figures for how much it costs and how messy/disruptive it is?
