Given how little enthusiasm the races here in Massachusetts have managed to generate this year, it's not surprising that there hasn't been a post here regarding the election in almost a month.  Tomorrow is election day, and we'll elect a new Governor and several other statewide officials, and we'll also vote for one of our U.S. senate seats and on four ballot questions.

You can find out where you vote and see a sample ballot here: http://www.wheredoivotema.com/bal/MyElectionInfo.aspx

Polls are open from 7am to 8pm.

It's the ballot questions that I think are exciting, more than the candidates, for the most part:

[Exception: Maura Healey is exciting. I'm glad she'll be our next Attorney General.]

Anyone have recommendations on candidates for all the statewide races? I haven't heard much about anything besides the ballot questions and the governor.

Thanks for posting this (and saving me the trouble ;-)

The lack of enthusiasm for this election seems to be infectious, and I don't quite understand why.

Did you guys catch the new city website? My housemate found it earlier--I hope it's working right tomorrow. I love data.

Please use that official state website to double-check your polling location. In Somerville, many of them have changed since the September primary!

I was #474 at the Brown School with 6 people still in line and 3 voting.

They were in the mid-750s in Ward 5.1 around 3pm. That's better than a lot of election days.

The governor's race is close, so your vote counts there. I know that both the major candidates are distasteful, but neither of them is completely unreasonable and they differ enough that it matters. As Heinlein said, "The difference between bad and worse is a lot larger than the difference between good and better."

And the ballot questions are all significant.
